Conflict of interest can be considered any situation, able to influence on the author of the manuscript and lead to concealment, misrepresentation or change interpretation of data. If there is a conflict of interests in one or several authors, it is not a reason for rejecting the paper. If editors reveal the concealing potential and apparent conflicts of interest on the part of the authors the examination and publication of the manuscript can be refused.

In original articles and literature reviews the summary should be structured–repeat the article structure and include:
- INTRUDUCTION
- SUBJECT
- MATERIALS AND METHODS
- RESULTS
- DISCUSSION
- CONCLUSION
4.7. Keywords. The abstract must be accompanied with several keywords that reflect the main topic of the article and facilitates the classification in electronic databases. The keywords should be separated by commas. The summary and keywords should be submitted in Russian, as well as in English.
The authors must compare the English version of the summary and keywords or choose them according to the database https://meshb.nlm.nih.gov/MeSHonDemand. If during checking there is the least number of matches with keywords on the article topic available in the database, it is recommended to use the proposed options.
4.8. Recommended manuscript structure. The structure of original articles and reviews must be in the format IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion).
Introduction provides a brief overview of relevant data, critical assessment of the literature, related to the issue under consideration, justifies the scientific novelty and significance, defines unresolved questions, sets clear goals and targets, explaining further research. Avoid detailed analysis and historic journey.
“Materials and methods” section must contain information about where and when the research was carried out; the criteria of patients’ inclusion and exclusion, experimental animals; description of research method (cohort, prospective, randomized drug testing, retrospective, series of observation); detailed description of new medicine, method, modification, experiment, protocol brief description (Standard Operating Protocol - SOP). Current methods of statistical data processing should be used. If the research was carried out using equipment, its name and organization-manufacturer should be specified.
Review articles shall provide the database on which the analysis was carried out; requested keywords, analysis period.
In clinical cases the summary should have sections (may not be highlighted):
- relevance – 1-2 sentences on the importance of presenting the case;
- subject – what contributed to the study of this case (what patient turned and with what complaint);
- conclusion.
Results and discussion should be described in different sections. The results should be clear and concise. Data should be provided in absolute numbers and in percentages, 95% confidence interval (95 CI%) and the value of p should be indicated.
Section “Discussion” shall contain a convincing explanation of the results, show their importance, possible limitations and ways for further research.
4.9. Drug names should be listed only as international non-proprietary ones, which are used first, then if necessary trade names of the drugs, registered in Russia, are given (based on the Sate Register of Drugs, https://grls.rosminzdrav.ru/Default.aspx). It is desirable for the enzyme spelling to correspond EnzymeNomenclature (http://www.chem.qmul.ac.uk/iubmb/enzyme/). Familial disease naming should be corresponded to the international classification of inherited conditions in humans ("MendelianInheritancein Man", http://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Omim). Names of micro-organisms should be checked in accordance with the international database, which contains updated information: http://gcm.wfcc.info.
4.10. Abbreviation. The manuscript may be accompanied by a glossary of terms (vague, likely to cause the difficulty while reading). In addition to the generally accepted abbreviations of units of measurement, physical, chemical and mathematical values and terms (for example, DNA), abbreviations of word combinations, often repeated in the text, are allowed. All letters entered by the author must be deciphered in the text of the article at their first mention. Abbreviations for single words are not allowed, even if they are repeated frequently. Doses of medicines, units of physical quantity measurements should be specified in the SI system. The comma is used to indicate decimals: 0,35.
All tables and figures should be numbered in Arabic numerals and have clear headings and table / figure captions/ legends that are easy to read and understand.
Graphs should be labeled on the ordinate and abscissa with the measured parameters or variables, units of measurement and scale.
Units of measurement must be metric and conform to international system.
All images and tables should be inserted at the correct place of full text (not at the end) in any quality/ resolution. However, they shall be also provided as separate files high quality, suitable for printing. Color or black-and-white images should be high-contrast and legible.
Preference is given to vector formats (svg, al, eps, cdr). Raster formats (jpg, tif), as well as pdf are allowed.
Due to the fact that about 4% of the population suffers from various forms of color blindness, all graphs shall be produced taking into account this (e.g., by introducing different numbers / letters / symbols for curves or different graphic patterns for the bars).
Additional recommendations:
- All illustrations are generated as "RGB" or "Grayscale"
- Any graphs and charts (with numerical data) are recommended to be submitted in original h Microsoft Excel (versions 2003 and later) files.
- When using third-party statistics/ graphic applications, please generate pdf or any other vector format.
- Raster illustrations (e.g., photographs, scanned drawings, screen copies) should also be submitted as separate JPEG2000, TIFF files with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, without compression, in addition to embedded elements.
- Each figure is provided in a separate file, where the file name should reflect the structural numbering of the illustration in the text (for example: Figure 1.21 - file name: 1–21.tif).
- If files of additional formats are used (for example: xls-files, cdx-files, ppt-files, visio-files, etc.), provide them in their original format with a separate file (in the format: *.rtf, *.doc , *.docx) descriptions of nuances.
- When using a pie chart please consider it vs. bar chart (as a preferred one)
- The Journal does not encourage the use of colored backgrounds in charts, shadows in bar graphs, or inappropriate 3D graphics for 2D images.
4.11. References. The Vancouver Citation Style is adopted in the Journal (reference lists are numbered not alphabetically, but in the order, mentioned in the text, regardless of the work language). It is desirable to cite no more than 20 sources in original papers, in reviews - no more than 60, in lectures and other materials - no more than 15. The reference list has to contain, besides fundamental works, the publications for the last 5 years, mostly articles from journals, references to highly cited sources, including Scopus and Web of Science.
The references shall includes only peer-reviewed sources (articles from scientific journals), used in the text of the article. Do not include abstracts, dissertations, textbooks, teaching guide, GOST, information from websites (using URL-address and the date on which a reference has been made available), statistical reports, articles in socio-political newspapers, websites and blogs.
If it is necessary to refer to these sources, information should be included in a footnote.
Citing in the article text are indicated [numbers, p. 3-12] in square brackets showing the pages. Ensure that all references in the text are listed (and vice versa).
Journal names should be abbreviated according to List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Self-citation is valid only in case of extreme necessity (in the literature review – not more than 3-5 references).
In accordance with the requirements of international citation systems, bibliographic lists are compiled in two versions: Russian and transliteration with English version. When preparing the list of literature, it is desirable to use free access transliteration systems (for example, http://www.translit.ru, BGN section).
The authors are solely responsible for the correctness of the bibliographic information.
