Новости: Gathering of the leadership of the medical service of the Navy
In St. Petersburg, in the building of the Main Admiralty, a meeting of the senior staff of the medical service of the Navy (hereinafter referred to as the Gathering) was held, and a scientific and practical conference on naval medicine was held. In total, more than 100 people took part in the events: the head of the military medical department of the Northern Fleet, the heads of medical services of the Pacific, Baltic, Black Sea fleets and the Caspian flotilla, associations, formations, military units, organizations, and representatives of the Military Medical Academy. On the first day of the Gathering, the results of the activities of the medical service of the fleets, the Caspian Flotilla for 2023 were summed up and ways to increase its effectiveness in 2024 were determined, tasks were set for the training of medical services of associations, formations, military units and organizations of the Navy in 2024, studied experience in medical support and conducting scientific and practical experiments during the exercise “Finval-2023”, specialized topics were discussed on the medical neutralization of modern chemical threats, on means and methods of pharmacological correction of the combat effectiveness of personnel, on the use of inert gases in respiratory gas mixtures for medical purposes , as well as issues of medical supply to naval forces in modern conditions, and, in the future, the organization of medical support for emergency rescue operations when providing assistance to the crew of an emergency surface ship, and medical and psychological rehabilitation of submarine personnel. Problematic issues of medical support for mobilization activities and ways to solve them, issues of medical support during modern armed conflicts, as well as awarding the best medical service of the fleet and the best doctor of the Navy were discussed.
On the second day, the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference on Naval Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) took place. More than twenty reports were heard on current topics: from issues of ergonomic accommodation of personnel on promising projects of ships and vessels and the creation of specialized medical vessels to the introduction of innovative methods for using the biological resources of the World Ocean and the peculiarities of the vitamin status of military personnel in the Arctic.
As part of the gathering, an exhibition of medical products and drugs produced by domestic companies and organizations in the interests of marine medicine was held, such as: State Research Institute of Military Medicine of the Russian Ministry of Defense, St. Petersburg (new anti-radiation drugs), SoTiS Corporation, Moscow (medical systems gas supply to military medical organizations), "ICL Techno", Kazan (telemedicine systems), LLC "North-Western Department of Wholesale Medical Trade", St. Petersburg (advanced shipboard medical equipment).
